In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

To find out the main conventions of a thriller film I watched many openings to thriller film, for example I watched
-The Sixth Sense- This had a very long title sequence, then a number of different shot type,
- Close ups, Extreme close ups, point of view shots
-Brick – This had a short title sequence, and then gradually gave the audience information about the crime that had just happened.
-Close ups, Extreme close ups, long shots
-Memento- Flash backs. - Loads of close up showing only certain parts of the action, leaving the audience to guess and question what was going on.
In my opening sequence I used many conventions of a thriller. The main convention was the long, dragged out title sequence. Also I used loads of flash backs, as the little girl is shown in the house, and different times once she’s died.
